lthough the picture on the website is slightly creepy, you can’t help but love their mascot Nonno and his grandpa-ish look. I do sense the cap was photo-shopped onto Grampy’s head, but he seems to like it with that eerie smile. Just don’t stare directly into his eyes.

Nonno’s restaurant is a cozy little Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Featuring pastas, pizza, and anything else Italian you could imagine, Nonno’s is meant to cater to your comfort food needs. Prices are reasonable, with appetizers ranging from $5 to $13. Entrees typically run from $10 to $19, which is decent for food that makes you feel warm and tingly all over.
If you’re looking for flavors other than typical Italian, try some of their seafood such as fried calamari, a favourite among Nonno’s regulars. If you’re dedicated to fulfilling your carb needs, try the gnocchi al pomodoro with sweet tomato sauce.
Nonno’s is typically a good spot if you’re looking for warm, filling comfort food on a cold night. The restaurant is laid back and chill, which means it’s perfect for a date spot. And if you can’t get rid of the kids, feel free to bring ‘em along. Just please try and prevent them from slurping spaghetti noodles off their plate- or worse, up their nose
