ell-established and well-loved NDG watering hole Ye Olde Orchard Pub and Grill has recently opened a sister establishment in the downtown core. Easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there, tucked under sidewalk level on very lower Mountain Street, near Rene Levesque. Judging by the packed-to-the-wooden-rafters crowd watching the Habs on big screens and waiting for the live band to come on in the next room, the word is definitely out.
Kilted servers of both genders serve the offerings of 19 beers on tap, 30 single malt scotches, and the odd combo of pub fare like fish and chips coupled with a surprising selection of spicy Sri Lankan specialties. Saturday morning soccer special and their Sunday “Industry Night,” giving bar and food service staff specials on drinks. Live music. Open daily.
