MAISON LYALL/THE MANSION
In Swingers, talking about sign-less bars, Mikey quips, "it's like you're in on some kind of secret. You tell a chick that you've been some place, and it's kind of like bragging that you know how to find it."
Stoically standing guard over Bishop Street is an impressive, turn-of-the-century heritage building called La Maison Lyall or, as insiders call it, 1445: it's the ultimate covert party operation.
Incognito could is the buzz word for this furtive joint. Like an extension of a Bond film, this English-style manor (previously Milsa) reeks of affluence and prestige with passwords in full effect. Who could have predicted Peter Lyall’s 19th century red sandstone gem would cocoon an elusive nocturnal culture?
Your first clue to its whereabouts will be the herds of fashion savvy youngsters amidst the wealthy professionals begging for inclusion into this secret society. There is no sign outside to mark its existence, save the address 1445. Don’t count on flashing money or haute-couture to get you past the faux KGB at the door. Here, it's not how you look, but who you know that grants you access.

4 Reader Reviews | This place is excellent. they have top quality everything! Beautiful women, men...kick ass parties that are thrown every now and than. Slightly expensive if you planning to get smashed! but thats no place to do it. You want to be sober enough to understand "come home with me..." im driving down from T.O no doubt for some halloween weekend party they got going on. in 120 year old Mansion, why the hell not!
Its called Haunt This House, by some Yakuza Productions Crew.
this is for sure the place to be for the party...no kidding guys..
peace, if you come yell out TOM!

1445 feels like a mischievous place where anything can happen.
the club definately possesses a mysterious atmosphere, which ,combined with the stunning decor, music and array of beautiful people makes it the enigmatic jewel of montreal.
