Unlike, say, Garcon! and Time, Garde Manger is somewhat of a wallflower that stands outside the cool clique, wondering what it needs to do to be admitted, and whether it even wants to be. So, as you’d imagine, Garde Manger tends to draw an older, more upscale crowd, although we don't have the neighborhood/businessmen/hotel guests/frequently hottie crowd figured out just yet.

However, its presence here gives the restaurant the kind of starfuck quotient tied more to St. Laurent restos. With that quality, Garde Manger ain't going anywhare. - K.J.
