ith a trendy bar tucked on the right of the restaurant and a typical lounge décor, Del Friscos isn't sore on the eyes. The ceilings are towering and the mood is romantic with deep reds flooding the room and leather booth seating lining the walls. The bar has that club-feel with glowing fluorescent blue lights and bottles glowing under it along the lofty back wall. It's actually a family restaurant, like most eateries in DDO, but it has an atmosphere that might allow a mommy to feel cool again. The Italian fare is surprisingly reasonable, which is smart of them considering that's a coveted decision-making factor in the area and has resulted in much flocking by the local residents. A customer favourite is the woodburning pizza ($8.95 - $13.95), but everything is homemade, including their chocolate mousse ($5.50) and Oreo cheesecake ($5.95). If you want a more "fine dining" experience, you can order a bottle of wine, which comes with a free bottle of Pellegrino, and voila, the thicker bill might make you feel a bit classier. Or, rather, if you're a 9-to-5er who needs a little something-something after work, the bar has happy-hour from 4pm – 8pm and drinks are 2 for 1. - M.K.
