Decca77 also owes a huge debt to Chef Daren Bergeron. Flushed with the success of Club 357 in Old Montreal and still cashing cult-cred cheques on Vancouver’s Lumière, Bergeron brings every ounce of quality and furious style at his disposal to this venue. Bergeron has drafted original technique-driven, fresh-ingredient inspired cuisine; a mix of mostly tapas delights. Getting much attention is his Foie gras au torchon ($20), banyuls vinegar and pickled white turnip. Another hit is the ethereal, greaseless Venison tataki with radish salad and marinated shiitake. Or the tagliatelle ($24) with roasted sausage, arugula and parmesan. And on a hot evening, treat yourself to a soju-based mojito).
For dessert, a pistachio blancmange is served up with an amaretto foam; just the icing on a cake that’s almost entirely icing to begin with. Gloriously amoral, grown-up fun. - R.L.

2 Reader Reviews | I had business lunch there then I went back for diner with my wife before a hokey game. I had Tilapia as a main course and salmon tartar for the entree, she had lamb and tomato salad with goat cheese and orange oil as an entree. We loved the food and they have a great wine selection. We really enjoyed our 90 minutes there, as the service was just as good as the food. I do not have to talk about the design because i was not expecting to see the new tsirco that way even thos I was told it has the same owner.
If I was you I would give it a try!

I tried this place in the first week, and unless they changed how their venison tataki is, it shouldn't be getting all the praise that everyone is getting it. for one, the venison that i got wasn't the right temperature, it was practically tepid. Second, there was a very watered down flavour to it. third, the plate was an unusually small meal... But who knows, give it time, i'd be willing to give Decca77 one more shot from all the flowery reviews.
