This family-run restaurant has been an institution on Montréal's dining scene for what seems forever. Stone pillars and wooden beams give this venerable restaurant on the Vieux-Port a genuinely Roman feel. The ambience is warm, the clientele friendly, and the whole place giving off big Mom-and-Pop vibes - but in a good way.

The menu also speaks family run: seafood antipasto (squid, mussels, shrimp, and octopus drizzled with olive oil), fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, and suckling pig roasted with garlic and rosemary are among the highlights. The homemade tiramasu is excellent.

Point well taken, and I agree - but Suzie... what are you talking about? What kids?? Who was sick? And when?
    HUH?

They don't serve crab cakes there. EVER. They have the most clean kitchen I've ever seen in a restaurant; And as for the kid's who got sick, they probably ate bad food durring the day and that's what got them sick, because Emma in the back prides herself in cooking every meal fresh and on the spot, No "pre cooked" meals here.
This is a great restaurant, I eat there often and I've NEVER been sick. It is a Bit over priced but worth it in the ambience.
I recomend you bring your wife or husband and enjoy a romantic meal together. It's not realy a place to bring little children, since the food is cooked on the spot, it takes a little time , they'll get bored.
