In a city dominated by the beloved bistro, it’s quite the relief to see a Korean joint inject a much-needed dose of change in the dining scene. The only thing French about Hwang’s is in the name – the rest of the menu is strictly Asian with an assortment of chopsticks, tiny bowls, small teapots and the occasional ladle at your disposal.

Buckwheat noodles float amongst firm tofu in bowls overflowing with spice-infused broth. The service is attentive and snappy which leads to an inevitable stream of more tiny dishes from the kitchen – a good thing (trust me). If you need to take a break from your love affair with all things French, try this exotic Asian cuisine for an inspired dining experience. Now Open. –E.J.

I love the specially integrated bbq system on their tables. My favorite is their special dinner menu Kalbi (beef ribs) not too sweet, just the right taste, and so tender meat. I love this, and whenever I get a craving, I go there for that particular meat. Must try this!
