2 Reader Reviews | One of the city's top Thai restaurants" boasts a published guide. No such thing! The tom yum gai (hot & sour chicken soup) at 2 out of 3 chilis was nicely spicy but the broth was over-salty as though it had steeped too long while the additions (vegs and huge chunks of chicken) were fresh and flavourful. The Pad Ped Ta-lay ($19) was marked 3 chilis but had a rather bland sauce which quickly separated into oil and base (not appetizing). The fish (2 crab claws, 2 scallops, 2 shrimp, 3 pieces (small) of squid, whitefish (2 small pieces) were very fresh and tasty. A vegetable dish was similar: fresh veggies, watery unremarkable oyster sauce. Decor is great, service was efficient but curt and perfunctory.
