Stylish - sans snobbery - is the attitude that resonates here at this bar-boudoir located in La Petite-Patrie. It is also one of the reasons it’s packed with a loyal clientele ranging in age from 20 to 50.

Though the name refers to a woman’s sitting room, finding a seat here - or even a standing table - is nearly impossible after 6:00pm. Be prepared to roam. But keeping people vertical and on the move encourages conversation and fuels Chez Roger’s social intercourse (stop giggling, child).

The bevy of beautiful barkeeps and servers are far more than just pretty faces; they are competent, quick and need no coaxing when invited to join in on a round of cocktails The chic décor and atmosphere attracts a mix of party professionals and part-time clubbers with perimeter seating, stand-ups, brick inlay, marble flooring, high ceilings and a gorgeous bar. One of its most impressive attributes is the floor plan. Half of the bar is one step lower than the other, negating the necessity of a walk-through to spot friends or future mambo partners.
