The name of this hip, BYOW French bistro translates to "with bone," but I'm not feeling all that petulant today. That's strange, I must be coming down with something. I'm sure you will be fine on your own. Good luck, Grasshopper Pervert. (The following should help your quip.)

Enjoy a big bite of bone at A L'Os. It's the best way to feel primal and reconnect to the animal world. Mmmmm, visceral.

Started off with their ostrich tartar: no overwhelming flavors here, just some light subtle well balanced and refreshing flavors (the truffle oil is a hit here), very fresh meat. Awesome tartar (only the beech mushrooms did not seduce: they were tasty enough, but just not my thing).

The Venison dish that followed was a generous suite of tastebuds wonders: all meats were melting-mouth savourish here (nicely seasoned, all flavoful, juicy and remarquably tender). As if that was not enough of a feast, both the accompanied purée + the choucroute were very delicious (generous and nicely thought accompaniments, btw).

Too stuffed to enjoy the dessert, so I skipped to an enjoyable cup of coffee.

With items à la carte, it can appear pricey to some (although, for this kind of food, I'd not complain)..but the tasting menu is definitely good value for the $$$.

A L"Os has seduced me with some nicely executed dishes (smart accompaniments to their meats!! ) that were very beautifully presented (on top of some exciting cooking modern touches) and an overall decor that's cozy, chic, classy. The
service I had on this dinner was simply i-m-p-e-c-c-a-b-l-e!!

That was my first time there, and surely not the last. I really really liked à L'OS.
