Celia: The Life and Music of Celia Cruz :: Jun. 18 – Jul. 6
“ˇAzucar!” was the battle cry for the infamous and sassy salsa singer who charmed the world. Celia Cruz had an amazing 60-year musical career and this musical brings her epic story to the stage. Told from the point of view of her husband, Celia: The Life and Music of Celia Cruz follows the diminutive singer from her humble beginnings in Cuba to her international superstardom and all the 5-inch platform heels that defined her career along the way. This is a loud, brash, and entertaining musical that should honor the memory of Celia Cruz for older fans as well as introduce her to a generation of new ones. –P.B.
Tickets are $50 - $95
