oud, deep voices projecting sounds that radiate throughout the room so that is the only thing you hear – that's what it's like when the Miami Lyric Opera performs Giacomo Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Of course, opera is not everyone's cup of tea, unless you enjoy listening to continuous singing in a language you most likely don't understand; and even if you know Italian, the opera makes word comprehension a thing of yesterday with their tendency to mix wordstogether – that was actually a coincidental typo, I assure you. – M.K.
