  ittle Heather wrote a love letter to Jonny during the long hair days. Jonny responded with a seemingly autographed headshot. Closer inspection revealed a stamped rather than signed signature. Ever industrious, Heather went over the swooping ‘J’ et al with a fine point sharpie. ‘Look, I got Jonny’s autograph,’ she told her friends. She worried that they knew the truth and, as the years passed, her residual guilt turned to shame, finally morphing into bitterness. For a time, she couldn’t even look at Jonny, let alone listen to his blazing guitar. Maybe it’s time for a reconciliation. -S.T.
