  here are a great number of irritating popular musicians out there, but Dave Mathews is definitely one of the most overrated pop stars alive. His slow jam pop ballads are beloved by beer swilling fratboys everywhere. That core demographic is never sober enough to sit down and listen to music, so they can withstand the clichéd and tired song writing that is Matthews’ specialty in. If you have a brain and a rudimentary understanding of music, you’ll find it much more difficult to tolerate. We need to rise up against this South African wonder and keep him from poisoning the ears of our youth. Every rented house surrounding a college campus with a Dave Matthews poster on the wall should be burned to the ground.—P.B.
