iami is ranked among one of the best cities in the world when it comes to architecture and design. Design Miami is an event created to showcase everything that Miami has to offer in design. This fair was started up in 2005 in the Miami design district by Ambra Medda and Amy Lau and has been attracting like-minded 'design people' ever since. This fair has everything design-and I mean every and all types of design you could ever imagine. There are design dealers, collectors, critics, galleries, curators, designers and those who are just curious. OK so now you know there is a design fair but here is what you can actually expect to see at Miami Design: design galleries that have set up displays and presentations by renowned designers. Designers, schools and museums that have set up satellite exhibitions where designers can demonstrate their designs live on site. And designers that will be giving lectures and leading discussions in design over the course of the fair. So basically any building that has something to do with art is now transformed into an exhibition space. There are forums that will help you navigate your way around to all the hot events. So if you don't like design don't go. Don't be all like "Well, it could be interesting, I could…." NO! Don't go. "Well I'm not that interested in design but I'd like to check it out and see…" Uh-huh.
