One name has quickly created a reputation on the lane: Gustavo Briand. He is the owner and main hairstylist of the Gustavo Briand Hair Studio, a small, boutique hair salon located at 1701 Sunset Harbour Dr. (also known as Perdy Lane) suite #106, on Miami Beach.

“I’m tired of hairstyling factories. We focus on quality. No matter how long it takes,” said Briand. “I want our clients to become addicted to good service and quality styling. That will keep them coming back for more.”

And it does. In a relatively short period of time, the hair salon has amassed a collection of people, returning for a reload on style and a touchup of good company. Others are quick to respond to the buzz the hair studio has created, flocking one by one into the salon for a new look.

The hair studio is small and chic. “Our clients are at a vulnerable position when they visit us. We cut, color and style their hair. It is in our hands; they are in our hands. After they give us this trust, the least we can do is give them in return something wonderful, something that will bring out the happiness and beauty from inside of them,” said Briand.

And this hair expert has all the preparation he needs to deliver exactly that. Briand has learned from the best: from training for over 3 years with Vidal Sasoon to working in high-fashion districts in London, Germany, and L.A., Briand has the experience and knowledge to back up the reputation he has quickly gained on Perdy Lane. His staff is also well prepared and Briand is excited to teach them all he knows, especially to young Ray Vazquez, who Briand is proud to call his protégé.

Here in Miami it’s all about the look; it’s all about the style.
