ernice Steinbaum Gallery, which moved to Miami in 2000 after 23 years in New York City, is considered a pioneer among mainstream art galleries. Much of this reputation has to do with the galleries commitment to showcasing underrepresented groups and recognizing the current culturally democratized North American climate.
The gallery carries 50% female artists and 35% by people of color. Add homosexuals to that and you get the entire film theory class that I took last semester at college. The gallery also has a claim to multiple National Endowment Winners, Two Annenberg fellows, five Guggenheim fellows, three French hens, and a partridge in a pair tree. They’ve certainly done a good job of staying noteworthy.
