Yuca, which stands for Young Urban Cuban American, is known as the original upscale Cuban restaurant in south Florida. With sophistication and flair, Yuca serves up contemporary Cuban cuisine blended with strong Latin influences known as "Nuevo Latina." The cuisine relies heavily on Latin flavors, emphasizing the colors and textures of traditional Latin fare.
Glorias Frijoles Negros, a hearty bowl of black bean soup, is served with a hot rice pancake, sour cream and chopped scallions. The guava-glazed, baby-back ribs are a real show stopper, when barbecued to perfection. -LD
