he legendary Miami Fontainebleau resort had an appetite that only a $1 billion facelift could quench. Now it comes equipped with eleven bars and restaurants. Vida was one of the first restaurants to open. Of this first batch, Vida is the flashiest. Anyone who has lived through the oh-so-regrettable Ricky Martin craze of the late 90s can tell you that "Vida" means life, a name that perfectly fits the brand new Miami restaurant, a testament to hustle and bustle.
The design features a grand open kitchen fitted with a rotisserie and hearth ovens. It's there that the restaurant cranks out delicious pan-American cuisine, a combination of influences from California, Florida, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, and the Caribbean. It sounds somewhat all over the map, but it all comes together into a state of organized chaos. Finish it all off with a freshly-baked pastry or a signature soufflé. That is, if you have a sweet tooth. And if you don't, I feel very sorry for you.

1 Reader Reviews | Horrible Experience! Service was unbelieveable, completely rude and lacking class. Food was adequate. During dinner our water glasses were never filled once and when they brought me the wrong dish, instead of remaking the right dish they simply placed some items on the wrong dish and said it was "fixed". They did take the item of the bill but an apology was really in order. When I tried to contact management at the hotel to discuss the matter they couldn't be bothered to return my call.
