must say, there’s nothing better than a warm tortilla stuffed with fresh and flavorful Mexican ingredients. And Ver-Daddy’s does not disappoint on that front. Owner David Bass, despite his experience as executive chef at a Burger King, cooks up authentic Mexican food (as the Spanish pun in the name might suggest). He learned it from his Mexican mother, not from the KFC that used to occupy the space.
Ver-Daddy’s is hard to miss with its yellow-orange paint job and six-foot-high graffiti-like sign. It lures you in like the sirens did to Odysseus, and once you’re inside you’ll have plenty of selection to appease your aching stomach (40 years on the sea will do that to you). Enchiladas, tostadas, quesadillas, tacos – you name it – all served with homemade guacamole and salsas. How can you not? |
