ust off the coast of Miami's Biscayne Bay, on tiny Belle Island, Lido is housed within hotel baron Andre Balazs's latest hotel/spa project The Standard (formerly The Lido Hotel Spa). Located in the vicinity of the late-night hot spots of South Beach but far enough away to avoid the commotion of a Saturday night, The Standard Hotel, is a minimalist oasis set upon this mostly residential island. Guests of the hotel's spa are encouraged to roam freely in their bathrobes, not unlike the older clientele who frequented the Lido Spa Hotel before its closure in 2003.
Famed French culinary master Eric Ripert's personalized menu pays homage to traditional Mediterranean fare with an emphasis on using fresh organic ingredients grown under the Florida sun. Ocean-inspired dishes as well as an impeccable panini are not to be missed. "Healthy, sun-kissed, locally grown and natural," the restaurant's cuisine reflects the Mediterranean philosophy of living and eating well.
Outdoor seating allows for panoramic views of the surrounding Bay. Vegetarian and Kosher items are available upon request.
