Inspired by the Sansckrit word for 'welcome' this wee restaurant will certainly welcome those looking for a bite that is a little out of the ordinary, in this case, a tasty fusion of Thai and Japanese cuisine. Housed in a former pizza joint, owners Montri and Mariam Putlek applied their unique style to the decor and the result is a friendly and relaxing vibe, perfect for enjoying any one of the house specialties from Pad See-ew (rice noodles with black bean sauce, eggs, broccoli and a choice of meat), Deep-fried spicy basil duck or Japanese sashimi and nigiri.

Several Thai cooks on hand make each dish to order and a percentage of profits goes to building temples and schools in poor Thai villages. Note: There is no liquor license but you can bring your own.

From the moment we walked into the great atmosphere at Sawadee we felt like we were having dinner at a friend's house. The food was awesome with different flavors that keep your taste buds buzy. For dessert we had a "Thai Donught" which was delicious. Definately comming back for more! - Michael :)
