obuyuki Matsuhisa' Shore Club-based Miami outpost retains the famed restaurateur's sushi-fusion flare, utilizing the freshest and finest ingredients for tight and inventive rolls. Sure, it's expensive, but Nobu is worth it. A foodie favorite and celeb-haven, Nobu's near-minimalist décor and superb menu make it a no-nonsense rice and weed destination of the finest order.
Beware that the restaurant is slightly tricky to get to. Located in the Shore Club, your best bet is to go into the lobby and ask right away. Otherwise, you may be a little cranky from hunger when you finally reach Nobu.
When you’re seated, ordered, and ready to relax, go right ahead. The décor provides a chic and sophisticated atmosphere, while maintaining comfort. The restaurant is draped with elegant white curtains, attesting to the rich celebrity feel. The lighting is soft, and the tables are natural wood, which reflects on the whole sushi movement. The lounge has funky pink and yellow lighting, which seems tacky- but it somehow just makes Nobu that much more elegant. The tiled floors and upscale décor makes you glad you dressed up to get sushi.
To the most important part- the food. Personally, I don’t think it’s food unless it’s cooked, but Nobu has so many fans I’m becoming swayed to try it. Signature dishes are a safe bet, such as Yellowtail with Jalepeno and Black Cod and Miso. They have a listing of cold dishes like tuna tempura rolls ($18) or Monfish Pate with Caviar ($21). There’s even a section for me- hot dishes like Beef Toban Yaki ($28), or chilean sea bass. Regardless of what you order, Executive Chef Thomas Buckley's dishes are sure to delight.

Great location, very lively and the atmosphere is quite romantic. This place is always busy, but reservations, amazingly, were not required - we were seated within minutes. There are about (or so it seemed) 3 waiters per table - but don't worry, you do not have to leave 3 tips. Because of this, service is professional, courteous and extremely efficient.

Very disapointing experience. The food was below average. The waitress and management was rude.

For fresh and - dare I say - "real", sushi in Miami, this is the real deal. Sure, it's pricey - If you're after fast, filling and cheap sushi, then head elsewhere because this isn't the place. But if you're looking for a showpiece of a restaurant that comes somewhat close to the epicurean delight which is 'real' (there I go again) sushi, then Nobu is it.

I think I have found my new favorite Miami retaurant. I let go of any and all inhibitions (which I don't have much to begin with) and ate and drink like it was my last meal. The four of us all loved our starters and entrees. We also had a bottle of champagne, cocktails, 3 desserts, after-dinner drinks... and the bill was hefty $$$! All plates were amazing, very creative yet simple.
