ark’s South Beach in The Nash Hotel is Mark Militello’s contemporary American culinary masterpiece. He has won awards for “Best Regional Chef” by Food and Wine magazine, “Distinguished Restaurant Award” from Conde Nast Traveler to name a few.

Since its opening in January of 2000, Mark’s provides a sleek and swanky environment reminiscent of a vintage James Bond movie. Clean lines and a chic atmosphere enhances the dining experience.
The starters sound mouth-watering, which is my favorite part of any meal. To tantalize your taste buds, a few starters are pan seared foie gras, bouchot mussels in roasted garlic tomato broth, warm mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto…the list goes on and on. Entrees are even more lavish, such as pomegranate glazed halibut with stir fried baby bok choy. The best part is that they offer quite the list of menu items, so picky eaters have no need to fear the unknown.
Dinner for two with wine will run around $130, while a 6-course tasting menu with wine will cost the big bucks of $100 each. Although it seems a bit pricey, the dishes combine quality ingredients with skilled preparation. If you’re looking for a fancy place to actually get your money’s worth, then Mark’s should be at the top of your “Places to impress hot dates” list.
