Didn't think a place called Sunny Isles in Miami could get any happier? Well, you're mistaken, especially with the opening of Kitchen 305, the area's new whimsical restaurant located in the Newport Beachside Resort; saying that their dishes have fun names is only half the story, as the presentation is just as quirky, with dishes such as “We Got the Beat” Salad filled with music note shaped beets, and Sun and Sand Pail Mussels - presented with sunglasses, a pail and crumb-like garnishes. Luckily weird names only goes as far as the words – luckily, the dishes themselves are not quite that "out there" in taste with mains such as Absolut Penne (cream sauce with a mini vodka shooter), Color Me Bluefin Tuna (primary color dipping sauces in a painter’s palette dish), and The Daily News Fish & Chips. Since the cuisine's style and presentation are so wacky, it can only be described as American, Fusion/Eclectic. You've got to love a meal with a personality, and better yet, the locale's décor might have an even bigger one.

The 3,200 square foot restaurant has a white and purple glow, giving it a glamourous, energetic and funky vibe, as well as a modern club feel. It sports an open kitchen, an 8-person chef’s table, 100-foot flat screen and a 40-foot bar. Open daily for dinner, this is a definite nightspot if you're out with friends and want to get in the dancing-mood before a night on the town. This resto can even be your nighttime post-dinner destination as well since it has great events lined up, such as Wired Wednesdays, where ladies drink for free from 9 – 11 pm (that's cheaper for both the guys and girls) and Entrée Saturdays, when a DJ spins records from the 80’s, 90’s and today.

If partying hard and in style is down your alley, the list of drinks suit the setting of Kitchen 305 with an extensive variety of specialty Vodka fruit infusions – or if you're feeling indulgent, treat yourself to the nightspot's signature Baked Candied Apple Martini; even if you're not staying at the resort, you'll feel like you're on vacation.
