Not quite the polite Indian slang for America’s favorite fecal swear word (shit – there, I said it), this wonderful new establishment translates to mean “Love” in English. Spice Art will be the focus of the menu that will incorporate Indian recipes with contemporary techniques and Miami ingredients.

Owners Sham and Kavita Kamlani are preparing to astound diners with dishes that reflect the French, Persian, English and Portuguese (what do all these countries have in common?) influences that have infiltrated Indian cuisine since they all attempted to colonize the Asian.

Taking advantage of the tapas trend, cuisine will be served on small plates, ideal for sharing with friends while sipping on exotic cocktails. Fresh baked Naan and succulent meats should have your mouth watering by now.

If the description of delicious food isn’t turning your crank, perhaps I can tempt you with the thought of waterfalls of alcohol. Starting Oct. 1, Ishq will be offering a very happy happy hour from 4:00 – 6:00 pm daily. For all you alcoholics out there, this is the perfect chance to slug down a cocktail and build up your bravery. You might just try that incredibly spicy dish that had your friend crying and running for the washroom.

If you’re not obsessed with food or alcohol (you crazy pants), the décor is sure to win you over. Featuring a beautifully classy gold interior with purple silk saris, somehow Ishq manages to combine these flashy colours without tackiness. You’ll feel like a regular Bollywood celebrity, dining in the riches of Ishq.

I would have given it a zero rating! the food portions are very small and the food isnt good either! the owner is very rude and to our bill another 20% was added as some tax!
It was overall a very bad experience on a holiday. I will not recommned this place!

WENT THERE FOR LUNCH.MY WIFE WAS PREGNANT AND HAD NOT BEEN TOLERATING NON VEG FOOD...SO THE ONLY OPTION (BESIDES SALAD OF WHICH SHE WAS ALREADY TIRED) WAS TO EAT AT AN INDIAN PLACE.WE WERE STAYING AT NORTHBEACH AND WE WENT ALL THE WAY TO SOUTHBEACH OCEANDRIVE FOR LUNCH.
WE FOUND THE PRICE WAS ASTOUNDINGLY EXPENSIVE, THE PORTIONS SMALL AND THE TASTE ...NOTHING LIKE INDIAN.I ORDERED 'TIKKI' FOR $7 .I GOT 4 SMALL PIECES THAT SMELLED OF STALE POTATO.MY WIFE ORDERED VEGETABLE BIRYANI FOR $19 ..SHE GOT SOMETHING LIKE WHITE RICE HURRIEDLY MIXED WITH LEFTOVER CAULIFLOWER CURRY FROM THE DAY BEFORE.THE RAITA SMELLED TOO.I ORDERED CHEF'S SPECIAL CURRY CHICKEN FOR $23.I GOT 4-5 PIECES OF CHICKEN WITH RED GRAVY ,OVERWHELMINGLY HOT SATURATED WITH BLACK PEPPER WITHOUT A TRACE OF USUAL INDIAN SPICES (CARDAMOM/CLOVE/GINGER/GARLIC ETC...).IN THE END WE ENDED UP PAYING $75 WHICH INCLUDED 18%GRATUITY..AND WE WERE STILL HUNGRY!!!...WHICH WAS RIDICULOUS..I DO NOT MIND PAYING FOR SOMETHING THATS WORTH THE PRICE ...BUT THIS WAS ONE OF THE INSTANCES WHICH WILL ALWAYS REMIND ME OF MY WASTED $75...

My girl and I ate at ISHQ this week and loved the ambience, decor, service and especially the food. Every dish left a favorable mark on our tastebuds.
This is a must place to eat!
THe bar is exotic and cozy. Would love to see a large sofa outside to sit and wait for our table.
    WILL BE BACK!
