Post-war: good (well, Korea, but M*A*S*H made it look so fun); Beat Generation: good; Cold War: good (gotta quasi fight someone); plentiful burgers without a thorough knowledge of health hazards: good; the birth of rock and roll: good; bowling shirts and grease: good; and fins on cars: good. Sure, the civil rights movement hadn't happened, Levittown had begun to beige the world, and McNuggets were several decades away, but come on, juke boxes, yeah!

American Classics, the 50s-themed restaurant at the Howard Johnson conjures a bygone era. It's a have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too, post-cold war juke box joint. You have to love booths.
