ontainebleau's recent billion dollar renovation has brought with it a ton of new restaurants and bars (11 to be exact). If you know the Fontainebleau (and if you live in Miami, I don't understand how you wouldn't), you know that these restaurants are on a grand scale, with flashy chefs and flashy food. Fresh, on the other hand, is that rare downscale option.
This is the place you go to get a quick bite before you jump into the pool (any of them). Fresh offers a modest menu of freshly-made sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, salads and pizza, simple snacks, juices, drinks, and coffees. Even these, though, are made with the kind of care you would expect from a resort of these proportions. Despite the plebe-friendly fare, it's still made as though it were higher-end. Try, for instance, a selection of freshly made gelato. Not ice cream, gelato.
