he Dogma Grill has a manifesto outlined on their website. The owner’s top two goals are “to bring respect and creative culture to the hot dog” and “to create an urban oasis and nostalgic place to celebrate the hot dog.” Obviously these people are pretty serious about their dogs. If you’re one of the few people in the world who feel that the little tubes of leftover pork products known as hot dogs are an overlooked delicacy, then the dogma grill is your nirvana. Where else can you get a hot dog covered in salsa, sour cream, grilled bacon, sliced avocado, diced tomatoes and a vinaigrette? Well, I guess you could make that at home…but that just wouldn’t be the same, now would it? Until Tom Cruise and his gang of wacky scientologist buddies start worshiping the hot dog as the religious icon that it is, the Dogma Grill is the ultimate stop for wiener lovers. Just don’t ask what’s actually in a hot dog. You don’t want to know. – P.B.
