ioppino, which is inside the Ritz-Carlton, is a ritzy, elegant restaurant featuring simple Tuscan cuisine. They boast an extensive wine list, and I’m not kidding when I say that. Their red wine list alone offers over 50 wines, while the white wine list is almost as long. They even offer 6 different types of champagne and sparkling wines for the perfect celebratory drink.
The breakfast menu is typical restaurant style fare, such as eggs benedict, smoked salmon, and pancakes or waffles. The lunch menu is more interesting, which is where the Tuscan flavors come into play. Zuppe, which is a hearty vegetable soup, gives soup lovers a little taste of Tuscan-style cuisine. Other items such as spinach and ricotta ravioli, Seafood Grillata, and seared salmon are delicious options to try. The menu is really so extensive that it’s impossible to even do it justice. With over 28 dinner items, you just may have trouble deciding what to eat.
You know you’re getting yourself into something good when you hear Chef Fistrovich’s credentials. He has worked in hotels and restaurants all over the world, and appeared on the Food Network, Discovery Channel, Travel and Leisure Magazine, and even in Vogue for his culinary accomplishments.
The actual restaurant itself features a large and very exotic outdoor terrace. The interior is classic and timeless, with rich wood accents highlighted by gentle lighting. The tablecloths invoke images of fall in their dark orange and yellow pattern. Cioppino recreates a Tuscan-feel, without departing too far from the Ritz-Carlton class we all love to bask in.
