iami New Times once said that Caribbean Delight carried the city's best ginger beer and even though it was way back in 2002, the only thing different nowadays is that a handful of new Caribbean joints have popped up in the area to compete with. Adorning the bright pink walls of Caribbean’s Delight cozy interior, Air Jamaica posters are a reminder of the beautiful landscapes of owners Errol and Carol Whyte’s birthplace.
Jerk and curry are used on fish, beef, pork and chicken, served with a fresh tomato and lettuce salad. It might just cool down your tongue in time for the next delicious bite.
Sometimes I have to wonder about fine dining: sure the food can be good but why pay so much for so little when you can venture to places like Caribbean Delight and purchase an entire meal for $10. Don't forget a bottle of ginger beer to wash it all down. -L.D.
