izza lovers rejoice, this woodfire pizza and pasta joint actually cares more about the overall quality of your dining experience than it does about how much cheese can be squeezed into your crust. This elegantly designed pizza outpost isn’t exactly gourmet (in price or style), but they do serve up uncommonly delicious wheel in a very comfortable environment. It is the latest venture by Luca Delougu who is slowly building an empire of high quality Mami eateries. There are a variety of quite nice pastas on the menu, but frankly, if you order anything here that isn’t sitting on pizza crust and covered in melted cheese, you’re wasting your time. –P.B.

3 Reader Reviews | I found the restaurant by pure chance and boy was I lucky to have come across it! As a beer lover I found the variety a little low but they do have very high quality beers on draft. The food portions are just perfect and the flavors unforgettable! The tropical salad is amazing! The pizza is great and the variety of cheeses superb. I used to not be a pasta lover but once I tried the penne integrale I was hooked. However my favorite was the risotto with seafood! Wow! Of course I've gone back several times with friends and they found the wine list to be quite impressive. Save room for dessert because you cannot leave this place without having tried the chocolate truffle cake with vanilla ice cream...the way it melts in your mouth is heavenly! Finally, the service was such that it made my overall my experiences at Blu quite special. Blu is now on my list of favorite restaurants.

I've been eating out in the Brickell area quite often and I am so thrilled to have all these new additions to the culinary world. Last week I finally tried the newly opened Blu Pizza e Cucina inside the Mary Brickell Village shopping center. I was amazed by the beauty of the restaurant inside and the comfortable terrace with the water fountains. I love pasta and my friends are addicted to pizza! What an experience... my fettuccine with porcini mushrooms was al dente and so tasty; we shared a couple of pizzas both from the signature list and we felt like in Italy. The service was very attentive and surprisingly knowledgeable; the girl who waited on us guided us through the menu and pointed out the specialties the house. We found the wine list to be very reasonable and with great organic options... definetely worth going back for more.
