f there's anything Miami Beachers like more than lounging by an ocean-view pool in a $1 billion dollar Art Deco behemoth hotel, it's following it up with a fancy cocktail. What better place to get hammered on $12 drinks than in a bar that once served everyone from Bob Hope to Marlene Dietrich? Located in the infamous Fontainebleau Hotel, Bleau Bar is as historic as historic can be.
Those who missed the experience of drinking at the most famous bar in Miami can now breathe a sigh of relief. Bleau Bar is back. It could not be more welcome. Centrally located in the lobby, the Bleau Bar has views of both the pool (one of many, actually) and the famed Staircase to Nowhere, which means you'll catch Miami's finest (and richest) strutting around in both their eveningwear and their bathing suits. That's a lot of eyecandy.
If this seems like over-stimulation then just dull your senses with a signature Bleau cocktail by "Master Mixologist" Michael MacDonnell (evidently "Mixmaster Mike" was already taken). You know you're in good hands when your bartender is called a Mixologist. MacDonnell made his mark at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and as the owner of the Enigma Group, a beverage consultancy agency (evidently, there's such thing as a beverage consultancy agency). At Bleau Bar he crafts flashy and colorful drinks worthy of the most opulent hotel in Miami.
