alking into Andu feels like an emersion into a rich and fertile ocean floor. With the white walls smattered in designer bubbles and glowing blue lights, it’s like entering the Little Mermaid’s private dressing room (note: no matter how much you want to, do not sing "Under The Sea" on the premises. You will impress no one). With posh décor and a strong menu to match, the fishbowl comparison will soon be even more fitting as Andu is on its way to being a see-and-be-seen kind of spot.
Executive Chef Nate Martin (previously at Nikki Beach) has conjured up an eclectic Mediterranean menu that will get your taste buds salivating. The décor-appropriate seafood options are mentionable, if you’re not a huge fan of Sebastian - in which case you may become a bit mortified from here on in.
The oversize décor and the handsome floors set an appropriate and sexy mood for the seafood-intensive menu. Succulent lobsters are served up in large portions for families and friends to share. Shipped in from the plentiful shores of Maine, the little red delights come with scallion mashed potatoes and English peas. The salt cod main is muddled up with olive oil, cream, garlic and milk to make up the most luscious brandade. The brandade is then served with sun-dried tomato tapenade and preserved with lemon juice. “Fruits de mer,” as they say.
As for the less-finned and more four-legged options, there is an equally scrumptious selection to choose from. Try the milk-fed veal parmigiana smothered in a caper/lemon emulsion with roasted tomatoes topped off with eggplant caviar. The lamb loin is a near second with its goat cheese crust on a bed of vegetable orzo risotto.
Regardless of all the extravagance of the Mediterranean mains, Andu’s desserts take the cake, so to say. The Pineapple Dreams are expertly disguised portions of crème brulee topped off with thin pineapple slices and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or try the Florida orange white hot chocolate doughnuts for a change. And for those of you out there more in favor of an intoxicating liquid aperitif, Andu offers up a tasty rose petal martini to quench your thirst.

After driving by a few times and seeing the nice decor I was really looking forward to trying this place out. I go out to eat all the time and I love trying new places. I went last night for dinner with my boyfriend and was disgusted and beyond disappointed. Everything was going ok (I wasn't very impressed with the menu to begin with) until half way through drinking his coke my boyfriend finds a HUGE FLY INSIDE his cup. I calmly and politely asked for a manager and when I told him what happened I expected a discount on our bill, maybe free dessert, or at the very least an apology. Instead he simply looked at the cup asked my boyfriend if he wanted another coke (which at that point since he was so disgusted he said no) and walked away. He was so non-chalant about the whole thing he made it seem like this was an everyday occurrence that he was use to. Word of mouth will make or break a restaurant. For being brand new I cannot believe this could happen and the manner which management handled the whole situation. Makes me wonder how dirty the kitchen is. Needless to say I will never go back and I will tell all my friends/family what happened.

I came in and was delighted to meet Dave, the professional host. He offered me a cocktail and guided me to the beautiful bar. Had the most refreshing cocktail of my life: The Cilantro Martini.
When I sat down for dinner I had the hardest time making up my mind as to what to choose as everything lokked amazing. To my luck, the owner himself came up to me and described the entire menu flawlessly, which made it easy to decide on what was right for my palate.
I will come back with my family next week! All I have to say.

A little bit over-the-top. But a cool South Beach spot nonetheless. Go on a weekday, and avoid the obnoxious tourists.

Pompous to the core. But, or those who have money to burn, this is the place to show your face. For now.

I love the general concept and the space is very hip, urban, beautiful. The crowd is great, and I love that they mash high-culture and low culture just appeals to me. The staff was super friendly and the wine selection, while limited, was pretty good. Unfortunately the food just isn't very good. Still, lots of possibility here. Maybe a different chef could spice things up?

Honestly amazing!! Went to a catering event at the design district and met the two young managers. They managed to pull out a party for about 500 people flawlessly, they made barton G's menu look boring. This made me travel to their home court in the brickell area. Andu Restaurant Lounge. The ambiance is one of the best I have seen nation wide. The cuisine Perfect, the portions perfect and the price outstanding. The cocktail list to die for.

Miami's Andu would be a very nice date destination - the dishes were very good but not extraordinary. Very fresh, high quality ingredients which reflect the prices. I will be happy to eat here again if the occasion arises.

Love this place, mainly for the South Beach atmosphere.
The food is great and the portions are, well, so-so. The only thing they need to do is to ease up on the attitude! Oh well... it is South Beach after all. Definitely a good addition!
