Who in the hell are these people? No seriously? 4am and they’re still out there in their fake Kenneth Coles and Prada T-shirts drinking, dancing, hitting on the opposite sex and debating philosophy with bartenders. Have they no shame? Don’t they have to be at work tomorrow? Don’t they have jobs? Most importantly, how can they afford the endless night of premium vodka drinks? Existential questions like these apparently can only be answered over the long course of an evening nursing signature martinis and noshing on a tasty Cajun cuisine.
Ahnvee, a Washington Avenue supperclub popular with a welcoming mix of professionals, features a menu to rival that of any restaurant - but with loads more cachet. The restaurant-lounge hybrid is peppered with designer furniture around the main bar and cozy banquettes tucked away in the corners providing a more intimate setting for impressing your date.
Speaking of which, this The restaurant-lounge hybrid can give you all the image bolstering you need, but you've got to find it first; and when you do, use this 9,000 square-foot space to open up your new life as a well-heeled Miami hipster. You'll have as much time as you need, as Ahnvee is open 24-hours a day. The venue never closes, but alcohol does stop being served between the hours of 5AM to 8AM (think of this as your coffee break).
Brought to you by BGM Management LLC with frontman Al Boatright and partners Brionne Gillion and Kareem Memarian, the throng of clubs you've grown used to - Templo, Zafiro/Club Deep, and Ruby Lounge, at 619, 621 and 623 Washington Avenue respectively, have been gutted to make room for Ahnvee.
The Washington Avenue area has been long a problem for city officials, since the late night partying and riot-like antics have continued well beyond dark. On the other hand, lots of people equates to a lot of opportunity to make some money. So, "New Orleans" style restaurant Ahnvee has capitalized by adding in the sounds of John Coltrane, Miles Davis - and even a little Holiday, if you're lucky - to its monstrous location.

3 Reader Reviews | Good times. Our bartender (we sat at the bar) was friendly and helped us get things quicker since we were running kind of late. Everyone complained it was expensive but after staying at the new W, it didn't seem that expensive.

people are tacky tacky tacky! Music is good, venue is very posh, but mostly "wanna-be's, and queen bees", not a fun crowd.

Yes, the Washington avenue area dwellers are concerned, somewhat emo and prone to lynching. You would suffer from these symptoms if you were sleep deprived, too. I find both parties in this affair pretty annoying, but I only see one of those parties breaking laws, violating regs and the terms of their liquor licenses.
