ow bout a couple of emerging Canadian folk-blues bands, Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir and Woodpigeon? Sounds good to me. Neither of these bands is at all traditional despite their genre. Woodpigeon include up to 14 members whistling, clapping hands, harmonica-ing to create a truly collaborative sound. With Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir, it's more about slide guitar and banjo, but y'know, more edgy. Us Canadians don't do anything in a straightforward way. - R.T.
