agwagon is exactly the type of band that you would expect to come out of a California suburb. The band members were influenced by punk and ska, but a middle class upbringing and lack of interest in anything other than music and partying turned those musical styles into pop. Granted, the sound is too aggressive to appeal to a mainstream audience, but it’s still nothing groundbreaking or artistically challenging. It’s merely fun mindless tunes. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s just something too keep in mind before you develop unrealistic expectations. -P.B.
