oronto's premier alt-country singer-songwriter (damn, I'm record-store-label crazy today), Justin Rutledge is Ryan Adams without the rock star pretense and prolificacy (i.e. Heartbreaker-era Ryan Adams). His boozy ballads encourage whisky drinking and pick-up driving (though, on different days, children). Though this is a short set, he had better close with sing-along favourite, “Don’t be so Mean, Jellybean.” -S.T.
This is a JunoFest event; there are multiple bands on the bill and sets only last an hour, so be prompt.
Wristbands are $30 @ Ticketmaster or 403-777-0000
Show @ 12:00am
The Palamino Club, Stampede Park, Calgary, AB |
