    Since its discovery by Charles Walcott in 1909, the Yoho National Park in the Canadian Rockies has been the source of umpteen fossils including those from the area known as Burgess Shale, which stem from a mere 540 million years ago. Yowza. What is now a prehistoric ocean bed makes a stellar location for mock explorations. Keep your eyes glued to the ground.
