hat if the Eiffel Tower started to lean like its infamous peer, The Leaning Tower of Pisa? How long would you give the landmark before it hit the dust? Ten years or so? Well that’s exactly how long it took the Eiffel Tower Bakery to fall. What was once one of the best bakeries in the city let its quality slide drastically in the last few years of its run, which disheartened return customers and eventually stopped the business altogether.
In its place, Mack Hosein has opened Bianky’s Bakery. Under the new management, Bianky’s will be doling out fresh breads and French pastries. There is a small seating area for those cold winter days when a short treat indoors makes all the difference. Hosein also plans to run a catering operation out of the same kitchen.
We wish Mack all the luck with his new venture. We only hope it doesn’t go the way of the Tower. Ten years is nothing to be scoffed at though. –J.T.
