If you’re looking for something comfy to work out in, give Lotus Wear a try. Not only do they provide clothing for women, they now offer a men’s line.
While the men’s line isn’t as extensive as the women’s, Lotus Wear is one of the very few yoga stores to provide a men’s line, period. Guys can choose from board shorts, boxer briefs, yoga pants, hoodies, or “hot shorts-” made of Supplex, these swim shorts are lightweight, quick drying, and teeny-tiny.
Women have a lot more choice, such as jackets, vests, tops, sports bras, dresses, and pants. You may find it hard to believe that a yoga company could make dresses, but they’re actually quite nice. The tunic dress is made of soy jersey, which is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable. Perfect for lounging around the house, or if you want to look nice (but still be comfy) while traveling.
Lotus Wear’s selection of work out pants is really the best part. They’re offered in various colours, fabrics, and styles to please pretty much anyone. If you’re not into skin-tight spandex, give the soy jersey or supplex a try- both are breathable and form fitting.
Lotus Wear has put themselves ahead of the work out wear gang by offering variations on almost all aspects of their clothing. Price wise, you’re going to end up spending around $90 for jogging pants, but it’s really no more than other high-end designers who charge an arm and a leg (cough, Lulu). If you’re looking for work out wear that will last, spend a few bucks. You’ll be more likely to work out if you feel guilty about spending so much money on clothing you never wear. –S.B.
