Calgarian fashionistas will be pleased to hear a brand new Kismet has opened on Stephen Avenue Walk. The fresh space will be a suitable home for international designers like Nougat from England, the ever fabulous InWear, the new and surprising Israeli line “Bash” and Designer Remix from Denmark.

All owner Annabel Tully’s picks dress a working girl of high-fashion in feminine minimalist pieces made with the highest quality craftsmanship. The Kismet woman is smart and attractive; über-feminine and power hungry. Her façade may be sugar and honey but when it comes down to business she gets things done. It’s interesting how clothes make the woman at times. Kismet will get you far on this account.

Like the clothes, the store is simple yet modern with its exposed brick walls and Art Deco décor. The dark floor contrasts with the white walls in an effect that enlarges the long, narrow shop.

Tully’s success at her Kensington location was no accident. Her woman-of-the-moment style and exclusive international independent designer collections will surely incite a rapt following for the second time around. –J.T.
