iva’s Eco Store is a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to go green. All the goods carried at Riva’s are sustainable, organic, biodynamic and pesticide free. All the goods are also ensured to be produced under ethical labour practices and fair trade agreements. Considering the vast selection of goods Riva’s has to offer, it’s fair to say that her shop is a rare diamond within Calgary’s environmental roughage.

Riva Mackie and her husband Andrew started up the shop to fill a few personal niches. Riva grew to have a profound appreciation of natural health remedies when her own ailments were cured naturally after numerous failed attempts by contemporary medicinal cures. She became a practitioner of structural integration (a less harmful and longer lasting alternative to chiropractics) and became an active member in the Weston A. Price Foundation that contributes to the study and practice of traditional health and nutrition. Riva’s husband Andrew is an architect dedicated to making green building supplies available to builders and fix-it-uppers alike. The match was obviously meant to be.

Riva carries organic cleaning supplies, mattresses, a home and garden line, and a library of literature on healthy alternative living. Even the eco-conscious fashionista feels right at home with Riva.
