Once known internationally for their stylish leather traveling trunks, the wealthy and well traveled swore by the quality of the leather goods to transport their belongings safely to the intended destination. After the peak of Canal Street knock-offs, Louis Vuitton has gone to great lengths to re-establish the elite reputation the luggage and handbag manufacturer once had.

Now that Louis Vuitton is expanding its presence in Calgary, a city that has parallel elitist goals as the luxury brand, the store promises both to re-establish its 160 year old commitment to blue-bloodedness and to help support the new-fangled snobbery of the burgeoning metropolis that is Cowtown.

The 2100 Square-foot, main floor boutique features leather goods from Louis Vuitton's traditional collections but also expands into a whole other terrain of accessories including sunglasses, footwear, jewelry, belts, and textiles. Although it has become an enviable tradition for women not only to tote their Louis-stamped bags around but also to tote their credit card yielding husbands with them on their journey to said boutique, the men now have their own section and are free to shop for themselves while the ladies peruse the Vuitton Bag Bar.
