erhaps you will side with the character that receives the most focus or screen time. Maybe he or she needs charisma as well. Anti-heroes once had a covert goodness, hinted at or briefly revealed, but furtively, reluctantly. The good deeds of the base stand out, ask Henry V during his Falstaff days. The modern anti-hero can shed any semblance of purity and still find worship. You love Tony Soprano, a sociopath. Why? Maybe because Carm is getting more annoying by the second. More likely, you grant a capitalist carte blanche to a business man that exists in a world of self-defined parameters in which competitors and co-workers understand the dogma, and the inherent punishments, and checks and balances therein. 'Tony's not a sociopath, he's a businessman. He likes animals'. Maybe you're right. Does this have anything to do with Soprano's restaurant? Does it make you want Italian food? Watching Tony eat always makes me hungry. Always. - S.T.
