Contrary to popular belief, Indian cuisine does not provide instant intestinal issues after consuming a curry dish, but rather is a wonderful assortment of exotic spices, meats and vegetables that are actually very healthy for you. Take the samosas for example – wonderful triangular, crispy pastry pies filled with beef or vegetables that are perfect for dipping in hot sauce. If you can’t take the heat, try the cooling Cucumber Raita – a pita dip made with blended cucumbers, carrots and mint yogurt that will take the burn away. Plenty of chicken dishes adorn the menu, including the standbys such as Butter chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a surprisingly sweet Coconut chicken curry. Add some nam on the side to soak up all the left over sauces and you’ll walk away with an authentic experience from the East. - E.J.

I've been doing take-out at Karma since its opened, every single time I go, I'm greeted by a young fella or the kind lady, their service is impeccable at take-out, I can't imagine dining in. Their courteous at the door and the food is divine. One day my family and I will dine in, for now, thx for providing us delicious food and being so kind every wkend.

I never write reviews about restaurants I eat at, but Karma is something to tell you about. It's hard to get good service when you eat out, but the staff at Karma was kind and respectful. The food is out of this world and I dont care about the negative comments others are writing about. They obviously dont know what good Indian food is. Great Job EVERYONE at Karma. I will definitely be back. I will bring all of my employees for a nice Christmas dinner. See you all soon.

Very nice place for dinner, husband and I enjoy going too Karma on a weeknight and eating in a friendly cozy environment. There service and food are outstanding. I highly recommend trying KARMA but dont go Fri or Sat cuz its waaay too busy and loud.

I went with a few of my friends and we all agreed that this was by far the best Indian restuarant in Calgary. The food wasn't bland like the restaurants in Downtown who westernize the food so much it doesn't even taste Indian. It had a kick but not too much, just perfect!! We will be going there again next week.. and hopefully I can get the owner's number this time (What an eye candy!)

The service was exceptional, the interior was classy and the food was beyond delightful! If this isn't the best Indian restaurant in Calgary I don't know what is! I was having troubles deciding on a place for my anniversary party but I think I've just found it!!

It was my husband and I first time experience at Karma yesterday Sunday, we truly truly had the BEST time. This wonderful lady greeted us at the door, I believe she's the mgr/owner, it was a full house and she got us in instantly. Our server was kind and generous. I was once in the serving industry, so I know when it gets busy, its busy. The server had a full section, she carried it so wonderfully well with the help of her mgr/owner, they both worked well, and i looked over at tables, EVERY table was happy and enjoying their dinner. Their were 3young ladies that night, they did an AMAZING job, our dinner was Super, the interior of the resturant is just breath-taking, and the service: WOW, the mgr and server made sure our dinner was going great! I'm glad I paid the price I did, we'll definately be regulars along with co-workers, friends and family. Thanks Karma, its been a long time for a great dinner and exceptional service. I have truly never had a worse dining experience, I've been happier eating at Boston Pizza. The tables are incredibly small and close together leaving you feeling like you are dining with the people sitting next to you. The food was terrible, the bhoona tasted like ketchup with chunks of fatty meat and the coconut curry didn't seem to have any flavor. Our server was horrible, and it seemed that the manager and all servers were more interested in hanging out and visiting with one another than working. I feel like I spend too much money on food that should never have been served in a restaurant that was hastily placed together and served by a waitress that couldn't have cared less about us. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

My family, friends and co-workers have been dining at karma since they opened. And must say I thourghly Enjoy it, their service is AMAZING, their food is EXCEPTIONAL, the decor is WONDERFUL! To the parents with kids, for god sakes, leave your immature kids at home. I've seen kids at karma, they behave poor, but the staff treats ALL thier guests equally. To Karma Staff, Your ALL doing an AMAZING job, keep it up, wishing you all the best!!! I'll see on guys on saturday Again.

Katie- the most important part of doing well in customer service, whether it be retail or food and beverage, is the ability to treat people with respect. It is not the job of service staff to make a family aware of their shortcomings. Especially in the case of the manager, who's job it is to make every customer comfortable in their surroundings. Libby's family went out for a nice dinner and was treated rudely by the service staff and management of Karma. Regardless of how their children acted, their family should have been treated with care and respect. I will not go to Karma after hearing this, as well as other negative comments about the management of this establishment. There are too many restaurants in Calgary to make supporting this type of behavior acceptable.

Maybe they treated you poorly because you had irritating bratty children with you who should not be allowed in the restaraunt! Karma is NOT MCDONALDS! You people obvisouly don't know how to behave properly in a decent restaraunt! So many times i go to restaraunts or cafes and see irresonsible parents who let their children run wild. It drives me crazy. Its so rude to the other customers and staff. I've been to Karma many times, and always the staff are extremly polite. I've seen parents dine their with young children (WELL BEHAVED CHILDREN, and the staff was perfectly polite to them. So try getting your children to behave, and not treating the restaraunt like a McDonalds, maybe the staff will be nice to you then.

Karma is definitely the best Indian restaurant in the city. The food is out of this world! The service is fast and the waitress was very kind in making sure our night went well. I have recommended this restaurant to many of my friends and co-workers, and they keep going back. I even have friends flying in from Toronto wanting to dine in at Karma. The restaurant is clean, especially the washrooms. If your looking for a night out with friends I would suggest you head to Karma and enjoy a tasty bottle of wine with delicious Indian food.

Today was our first time at this restaurant, we went in (for take-out)with our two young children. Unfortunately, the service was terribly unprofessional and insulting towards us, especially our children. We were so disappointed, considering the great reviews and quite shocked that the behavior came from one of the family members of the owner/manager, who continuously made immature comments behind our backs and treated us with disdain. After leaving the restaurant, we called to speak to the manager and spoke to the same young lady who made the initial comments and again, dealt with us in a very unbecoming manner! Hopefully they will improve in their attitude towards those they feel are not in the "class" of people they hope to serve in the restaurant, at least being able to address issues with clients in a civilized manner. They may have many loyal customers, but we and everyone we know will never be one of them

Went to Cira On Sunday the 7th for the Special Event feat. Victor Calerone & Mark Farina. The ovedrall design is spectacular but some of the decor is geared toward the flamers. The crowd was mixed beyond belief and it was like rats in a maze. Too many flamers on the main floor and some freaks in there lol. They need good local dj's along Addy to survive! Eg. Manzone & Strong, JayForce, Adill, Dekoze, Carlo Lio, Nathon Barato, Sydney Blue. If they choose the path they are going at the moment 6 months tops! Wake up and smell the coffee Toronto does NOT have 3000 freaks to make it every weeks. Toronto is Dirty Dirty HOUSE not trance that out now! Wake up if you want to make money & survive.

Wow, the best Indian restaurant in the city. My wife and I have tried many east indian dishes and we have finally found one that we love. The food has so much flavor to it and the portion of food is enough to fill you up. The restaurant is so clean and the decor looks amazing. Not your typical Indian restaurant.
