This Mexican restaurant has co-opted Nintendo's ex-plumber-come-do-gooder Mario of Dr. Mario fame as their mascot. Sure, they've dressed him up in a sombrero and managed to get him sauced on cheap tequila; but he's very clearly Mario.
Incidentally, telling a gang of street toughs that they don't have the "huevos" to fight you is probably a silly idea. As it happens, huevos are eggs and, though ball-like, do not convey the appropriate meaning. - D.M.

5 Reader Reviews | I am VERY dissappointed with this place. It was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I went there for the dineout lunch and everything was tasteless, dessert was ok, but as a Mexican, is very sad that even the simple food had no spice at all... taken out of my list :(

This is worst place I have ever been too. The food was so bad that I made me write my 1st ever review. The worst part is yet to come. When I went to throw up what I ate. I saw a rat running around in the Kitchen, which is on the way to the washroom.
To be honest I have some bad food and this place is the clear winner of the "The Worst food ever award"

Overpriced and dishonest. My last experience was terrible. Played live music there for free and they had the nerve to charge me for water because I wasn't eating, oh, did I mention, I was playing. Also our waitress was rude and made everyone at our table feel uncomfortable to the point that one of my guests actually had to say something to her and demand a different server. Not worth the money.

My family is fairly large and pretty spread out, so we're hardly ever all in the same place at the same time. Well, somehow a large number of us happened to be in Calgary at the same time so I decided to play host and take us all to Juan's Mexican Restaurante.
Our bill was about $40 too much for no apparent reason, and when we pointed this out to him, the owner was very rude to us.
Needless to say, we're not going back there.
