When the original
Flatiron Restaurant opened, we praised them for offering something new, different, and very un-chain-like. Perhaps we spoke too soon, because it appears they're doing it all over again.
Lucid Group has leased 7,400 square feet of the highly-anticipated
Centennial Place development, and is planning on using it for the second location of
Flatiron.
Despite the repeated concept, however,
Joey's this is not.
Sara Brown Designs has already put together a plan for an attractive 250 seat lounge-like setting, including a striking two-story vaulted ceiling. Not much else is known about its look yet (it's still heavily under construction), but if it's anything like the original, you can expect an upscale space without the requisite snobbery or unwanted cheese. As for the food, the menu will be similar to the original, in that it will combine contemporary cooking with a concentration on freshness, and it will be prepared by executive chef
