ead Mile Failte! Wishing you one hundred thousand warm welcomes, Ceili’s literally translates from the Irish gaelic to a gathering of friends for song, dance and drink (basically any Irish gathering). Every East Coast man with Irish roots knows that a gruff, mumbled accent, a fondness for the brewski and supremely executed jig for lively Irish music is the key to a Cowtown woman’s heart – Calgary cowboys watch out! This Irish bar cum Maritime music loving patio scene has spread the love for all things Alexander Keith’s and bartenders here actually know how to pour the perfect pint of Guinness (try the straw test) with a foamy shamrock included. The outdoors environment is perfect for mixing, schmoozing and boozing with members of the opposite sex while soaking in the summer sun and perhaps getting jiggy to some East Coast fiddling tunes. - E.J.
